China Sample Itinerary

Day 1

Arrive in Beijing. Follow the crowd to immigration and then follow signs to your luggage claim area. Get a luggage cart, free of charge, load you luggage, and go to the exit gate. Your Beijing guide, holding an AAI sign with your name, will be there to meet you.

Day 2

Sightseeing in Beijing, including the Forbidden City, Tiananmen, the Great Wall. You will spend some time shopping, too.

Day 3

Your Beijing guide will take you to the airport and you will fly to the province in the evening. When you get to the province airport, get a luggage cart (there will be a small fee), load your luggage and go to the exit gate. Your provincial guide will meet you holding an AAI sign with your name. The guide will inform you when you will receive your child, either that same night or the following morning.

Day 4-10

You receive your child and the paperwork processing begins. Enjoy your stay in the province of your child's birth. Your guide will show you many sights and you will also have a lot of time to bond with your new child.

Day 10-13

Fly to Guangzhou. Your guide will take you to do some shopping for your child. For dining there are Chinese, Thai, and Western restaurants within walking distance. Check with your guide.

Day 12

You will have your appointment with the U.S. Embassy. You do not have to go. Your guide will take the papers to the embassy for you.

Day 13

Waiting for your child's visa. Today will be for leisure.

Day 14

Go to the embassy in the afternoon to pick up your child's U.S. visa and have a brief ceremony. Leave Guangzhou the same night or the following day to fly home to U.S. usually from Hong Kong and arrive the same day in the U.S.
